selected objects will follow the same movement. With a left-click, you

confirm the new location for your selected objects.

At any moment, you can also cancel the transformation by pressing the

ESC key.

Tip: Those keys work in all editors for transformations. For instance, you

can move animation data in the Timeline using the G key.

As you will quickly realize, after trying to apply a transformation with a

key, it will occur in all axis at the same time. The objects transform freely

in your 3D Viewport, unlike the gizmo, where you can choose the axis by

color to apply it.

There is a way to constraint any transformation to an axis by pressing

the corresponding axis key you wish to use. For instance, you can move

an object in the X-axis by pressing the X key after you hit the G key.

Here are some examples of keys that apply transformations with an axis

constraint:

G key followed by the Y key: Move in the Y-axis

R key followed by the Z key: Rotate in the Z-axis

S key followed by the X key: Scale in the X-axis

Notice that you should press the keys in sequence and not at the same

time. You can use any combination of those keys to apply a

transformation.

Tip: You can always cancel the current transformation by pressing the

ESC key.
